A native of Mechanicsville, MD, and spent his childhood surrounded by music, dance and most importantly rhythm. Tapping since the age of 3, taught by his mom & dance instructor Gracie, he graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, with a BA degree in Dance, majoring in Ballet and Jazz. He fell in love with playing drums at the age of 7 and soon after picked up the bass, rhythm guitar and piano. Performed in the off-Broadway show Tap Dogs, Disney Cruise Lines as a singer/dancer and dance captain, Paramounts Kings Dominion, Pittsburgh Playhouse Dance Company, and Busch Gardens Theme Park Williamsburg, VA. He spent the last 5 years touring with the International percussion sensation STOMP traveling the US, Canada and Brazil. Justin now continues to write and produce his own music some describe as Acoustical Rock with an R&B Funk pocket. Currently he teaches dance classes locally in Hollywood, Maryland at his mothers dance studio Gracie's Guys & Gals, travels internationally to conduct dance and body percussion workshops as well as setting choreography across the nation with an up and coming dance/composition company, The JAM project.
On the music front, Justin is currently performing weekly shows playing drums for The Piranhas, varying in different styles such as funk, rock and pop! Members of this trio are Mike Damron who is a former member of The No Green Jelly Beenz and his brother Anthony Damron. Justin also jumps back in forth from The Piranhas to another acoustic type band, Rusty In The Middle, which is a more jazzed up RnB, free flowing, jam band involving tap dancing through out the night. Members of this band include Russell Williams who toured with the Lloyd Doppler Effect and Dylan Galvin who is a graduate of Berkley College.
